Leonard H. Keilin

Currently serving as Chairman of the Board of the KidSafe Foundation, Len is a graduate of Syracuse University where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology. For more than 35 years he directed non-profit camps and conference centers around the United States, serving as the Director of Camping Services for the B’nai B’rith Organization for more than a decade. Upon retiring from running camps, Len worked for ten years in the field of International camp staff placement. In that role he served as Vice President of Core Consulting Solutions and Associate Director of Camp Counselors USA.

Now retired, Len lives in Wellington with his partner Ruth. He became involved with KidSafe in 2017 and his camp background was instrumental in the development of KidSafe’s CampSafe program. This new program for the Foundation will train thousands of International and American staff applicants in the area of sexual abuse prevention.

In addition to KidSafe, Len has been involved with the American Camp Association, the Foundation for Jewish Camps and is currently serving as Vice-President of Wycliffe’s Men’s Golf Association. His hobbies include golf, tennis, cycling, travel and photography. He has two terrific children and three amazing grandchildren and they, along with Ruth and their dog Argus, are the loves of his life.

Len is excited to be a part of KidSafe as the agency expands in new directions and develops new initiatives to help with the Foundation’s mission to teach personal safety to children and their grown-ups to build strong, resilient families and safer communities.
