Beth Johnston, Senior Market Development Manager for the Southern region of Florida Blue joined the team in January 2016. She transitioned from Florida Atlantic University where she held the position of Director of Community Outreach.
At FAU Beth was responsible for the execution the implementation of a strategic approach to organizational development and community outreach in the Public Service Division. She also served in a Government Relations role as a liaison to government entities on behalf of the University.
Prior to serving FAU, Beth was a 15 year Chamber professional, and began her career in Chamber work at the Delray Beach Chamber of Commerce. As her career progressed, she became the Executive Vice President in and was responsible for the effective and efficient administration of the activities at the Chamber. Beth’s career and accomplishments led her to the position of Executive Vice President Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce.
Beth has completed the US Chamber of Commerce IOM (Institute for Organizational Management) professional development program. The Institute program is designed to enhance individual performance, elevate professional standards, and recognize association, chamber of commerce, and other nonprofit professionals who demonstrate the knowledge essential to the practice of nonprofit management.
Beth is a graduate of Barry University with a degree in Business and a concentration in Human Resources. She lives in Lantana with her husband Tom. Beth has two daughters, Clare, a Nurse Practioner, and Abbey a Human Resources Professional.
